6/30/14: At Sea

Today was our last at sea day, thank goodness because the same food is starting to get old!!  Although it is nice to have them to catch on rest, however.  So not a very eventful day... Kyle played in the Ping pong championship but lost n the semi finals to the champion.  At night we went to watch the Newlywed/ not so Newlywed game on the boat.  They picked 3 couples from the audience- one couple on their honeymoon, one that had been married between 3-10 years and one who had been married the longest.  Short story shorter, Kyle and I were picked for the between 3-10 yrs group!  Woohoo!  We didn't just kill the compitetion, we slaughtered them!  Out of 8 questions we got 7 right.  The newlyweds got 3 right, and the couple married for 44 years got 2 right.  We were taken into another room while the opposite was answering questions and then would come out for them to ask for what we answered.  So here were the questions (& answers):

Questions for the ladies about their husband:

1. Where was your first date? What year was it? And how much did he spend?

A: I was debating this one because we 1st dated in high school and I don't really remember our first real date then, so I went with our first date the 2nd time around.  His fraternity formal, 2005 & he spent nothing.  Luckily, Kyle said the same answer except he said he spent $50 on gambling money (not true because he and a friend went to the casino and I did not go).  They still gave him a point and both other couples got it wrong.

2.  If you could describe your love life after a movie, would it be: A. superman, B. Fast and Furious, or C. Gone with the Wind?

A: Fast and Furious.  Kyle guessed correctly.  Actually, all couples got this one.... And they held to the expectations with all 3 choices used.

3.  If you could make one physical feature bigger on your husband, and one physical feature smaller, what would they be?

A: bigger muscles and smaller chin.  I answered this way because I know Kyle well enough to know what he is self conscious about and figured that would be his answer.  And it was!  We got both right, and the other couples got not even one part right.

4.  What one word would describe the way your husband kisses?

A: passionately, and he got it right!

Questions for the guys about their wife:

1.  If there was one person in your wife's family you would never want to be stranded on a deserted island with, who would it be?

A: well, maybe I should not put this answer in case someone reads who might care, but I will say that we got it correct.  The newlywed husband said her mother..... That did not turn out well.

2.  What is your wife's worst habit?

A: picking her face, and I got it right.  Again, the newlywed guy was digging himself a hole by saying controlling, like her mother.  Haha, it was pretty funny though when she got the correct answer (according to him at least)!

3. Same as question 3 for the ladies but he asked they answer like they thought the wife's would answer about themselves (one thing bigger, one smaller).  

A: Well Kyle did not think in terms of what I would say because he said bigger boobs and smaller finger toes.  Ha!  I would have said smaller boobs and bigger muscles.  Whatever, that was our 1 point missed.  And none of the couples got it right... Again Mr. Newlywed was digging with a smaller head answer....

4.  Where was the craziest place you had "whoopee"?

A: In the ocean.  The host thought it was maybe in Mykonos (where we had just been), but that is not the case.  I got it right.  Actually, all couple got this one as well.

It was a great time, in front of a big crowd.  Our boat friends were all watching and cheering us on too :).  We have gotten several "great job, you really know each other" or "y'all were the cutest" from people we hadn't met before around the boat.  Even if people weren't there they have been playing it on repeat on TV on board.  For winning, we got a t-shirt, water bottle, deck of cards & a bottle of champagne!  Here I am modeling the shirt....
