Australia Day 3: Hellloo beaches!!

Today the beautiful blue skies were back over Sydney... Hooray! We started off the day by going to Paddy's Market- the only place in Sydney to find good prices. We got a few souvenirs, but the size of the market is a little overwhelming so we tried to not waste the entire day there. We enjoyed both the walk to and from the market along Darling Harbour. It was named after a person, however the name is quite fitting because the area is definitely darling!!! It is such a great area for kids and dogs to run around. One thing we have noticed about Sydney that we LOVE is that people can trust their kids to go out with friends along, use the ferries and other public transportation with no worries. Kids run around town everywhere on skateboards, etc. with no parents around. When we did our bike tour our guide told me to put my purse and camera bag in his car and when I was hesitant he had replied "nah, people won't break into cars here". It ended up being fine but no doubt if we were in Houston I would come back to shattered glass. How nice would it be to have that kind of trust in your city mates?! Anyways, back to our day. After that we took the public bus to Bronte beach and did the walk from Bronte beach to Bondi beach. It was stunning!!!! The beaches are beautiful here. They each had their own character as well. Bronte beach was more a beach for families- there were young kids with their parents all out enjoying the weather. Bondi beach is your hip, happening beach for teenagers to young adults. Lots of surfing, skateboarding, etc going on. You can see pictures of both below. After the beaches we headed back to the B&B we are staying at. The views on the roof of the B&B are fabulous so we took some night pictures up there while Kyle enjoyed his pre-mixed can of wild turkey and cola (he was very happy to find these) and then went to bed. See day and night rooftop terrace pics and beach pics below:
